Pontianak (Antaranews Kalbar) - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk held a one day science training for science teachers in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan Province. 
    "We will hold a 2018 Kalbe Junior Scientist Award (KJSA) national science competition with elementary school students," said Head of External Communications and CSR PT Kalbe Farma Tbk Hari Nugroho, in Pontianak, Tuesday. 
    He explained, in growing the interest of children to want to follow this competition, then they gave training to 100 elementary school teachers who came from around Pontianak, which took the theme "Creativity and Innovation: Solving Problems With Science Approach".
    KJSA is part of Kalbe's commitment to contribute to the development of science in Indonesia through CSR program, especially for children, they hope that in the future the nation's buds will love science even become the leading researchers who advance the world of science and technology in Indonesia. 
    "As for the elementary school teachers who are currently participating in this training, we encourage these educators to develop and stimulate the creativity of their students to find the solutions to everyday problems through science, for example through this science training," he said. 
    According to Hari, the KJSA program has been done since 2011 or has entered the eighth year.The purpose is specifically to introduce science to children from an early age as well as foster children's creativity in solving problems with the approach of science and knowladge. 
    Meanwhile, Head of the Committee of Kalbe Junior Scientist Award 2018, Medianto Henky Saputra said the science training is one of a series of training conducted in three cities, namely Pontianak, Kupang and Makassar. 
    "This year we are trying to expand the socialization network, both within Kalbe internal and external stakeholders, such as Kemendikbud, local government, many elementary schools, science clubs as well as various non-governmental organizations working in the world of children's education," he said. 
    Since it was first held in 2011, he said the participants' interest continues to increase every year."In 2017, this program is participated by 1,103 works from 26 provinces throughout Indonesia, compared to 2016 of 917 works and by 2015 as many as 811.
    "This year the Ministry of Education and Culture again provides additional educational scholarships and certificates for the winners of KJSA 2018, " he said.
    The requirements of this year's KJSA participants are students from grade 3 to grade 5, participants are individuals and may submit more than one science work with different themes.
    The work of science listed is an idea of itself and has never won a competition in at the provincial and national level.For the field of science work that is contested is IPA and applied, Mathematics or its combination, specifically for Mathematics, the result of science is not a Mathematics game.
    While the socialization and registration of KJSA program participants start from March 22 to July 27, 2018, where each participant is required to submit the file, among others, the registration form, pro file of participants, a summary of the work of the idea of the work of science with an explanation of why to choose the idea, what to discuss, and the development of ideas / solutions to be presented and so on all of which can be downloaded at www.kalbe-kjsa.com 
    "This is the content of the authenticity of the idea, the background of the problem, the solution given in solving the problem, innovation / novelty / uniqueness and the benefits of the work for the environment and the community. From the assessment of the jury will be selected 20 finalists based on the highest score, then all finalists and counselors will be invited to Jakarta, September 2018 to present their work in front of the jury," he said. 
    To determine the winner, the jury will determine the 10 works and 10 best works. All winners will get prizes in the form of educational savings, educational scholarships and certificates from Kalbe and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
