Putussibau, W Kalimantan, April 25 (Antara) - Incessant heavy rains have caused Kapuar River to overflow its bank and triggered floods in Putssibau, Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan Province, since Tuesday.
The floodwaters reached a height of between a half to one meter in Tanjung Jati and Teluk Barak in South Putussibau Sub-district, North Putussibau, Bika, Kalis, and other sub-districts located along the riverbank, Harun, head of the Teluk Barak neighborhood, stated here, Wednesday.
He urged the public to remain vigilant, as rains have continued to fall in Putussibau.
