Pontianak (Antaranews Kalbar)- Floods have inundated hundreds of homes in two villages in Kapuas and Meliau Sub-districts, Sanggau District, West Kaliamtnan Province, since Monday (Jan 7).
The affected villages were Kunyil and Cupang in Meliau, and Lintang Pelaman in Kapuas, Paolus Hadi, Sanggau District Head, said here, Wednesday.
The flooding was triggered by incessant heavy rains that had fallen over the past several days.
Downpour also caused Ensogak River in Lintang Pelaman and Buayan River in Kunyil to spill over their banks, he said.
Some 400 inhabitants of Kunyil village were displaced due to flooding.
