Pontianak (Antaranews Kalbar) - The Food, Agriculture and Horticultural Office (Distan TPH) of West Kalimantan strengthens horticultural cropping statistics data, among others through Coordination Meeting (Rakor) together with the agriculture agency in regencies or cities throughout the province.
    "It is has become an annual agenda for horticultural statistics to be developed in order to strengthen existing data through this activity we are doing reconciliation data," said Head of DHS TPH Kalbar, Heronimus Hero, when opening the meeting in Pontianak on Wednesday.
    He does not deny that there is a data gap from the field. But it's not that big. 
    “Therefore Rakor is important to suppress opportunities irregular data deviation due to several factors in the field," he said.
    Therefore, he requested the agricultural agency in the region to strengthen the input of good and correct data by maximizing the performance and communication with technical personnel in the field.
    "The performance of statistics horticultural data must be strengthened," he said.
    Related to horticultural crops in West Kalimantan according to him both in terms of planting area and production in West Kalimantan continues to increase. 
    "The increase there because for horticultural crops the community now planting by themselves," he explained. 
    He added that currently for strategic horticultural crops such as shallots and chilli in West Kalimantan, the supply is from farmers or agricultural activities from government programs that is safe.
    "With the existing supply we can keep the market price be stable. We will continue to encourage this horticulture crop to be improved," he said.
