Pontianak (Antaranews Kalbar) - Singkawang Mayor Tjhai Chui Mie ordered to her staff to search for a crocodile handler to catch four crocodiles that troubled residents, especially those living on the banks of the river.
“Though I have sent a letter to Pj Sekda about a month ago, but until now there has been no guard recommended to me," said Tjhai Chui Mie, Friday.
She admitted, has received many reports from residents and even from local sub-district complete with snapshots of his picture.
Search this handler, she said, is one way to catch crocodiles so that people do not worry anymore.
" Even according to the information I received, the number of crocodiles in the river there are four tails. Of course this will be a threat for people living around the river," she said.
She did not want to, after a new victim apparatus acted. Precisely before there any victims, how to make four crocodiles that are already large enough immediately moved to a breeding place far from human settlements.
" So we do not intend to kill it, but move it to a place away from residential zoo like so that our society feel safe," she said.
Besides using the handler, she said there are other efforts to overcome the existence of crocodiles in the Singkawang River.
"We can also ask for help TNI, Police and SAR to overcome the problem of the existence of these crocodiles," she said.
She hopes, this can be done as soon as possible so that there is no more anxiety for people living around the River Singkawang.
Separately, Head of Pontianak Search and Rescue Office, Hery Marantika stated, ready to help if needed to catch these crocodiles.
"The important thing is we always coordinate, how this team can move the crocodile," he said.
Although the SAR focuses on providing assistance and help to the threatened or worried human soul, but related to the removal of crocodiles it is always ready to support.
" We will support as much as possible like preparing equipment to catch the crocodile," he said.
