Pontianak (Antaranews Kalbar) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has suggested to all traders in Pontianak Central Market to always make buyers feel comfortable by providing maximum services and maintaining the market`s cleanliness and security.
"Sellers must smile a lot to buyers. They have to be friendly and be able to maintain the market`s safety and cleanliness for buyers to feel at ease, so that they return again for shopping," President Jokowi remarked while inaugurating six markets in West Kalimantan on Friday.
During a visit to the Pontianak Central Market here, Jokowi said he was quite pleased to see the neat and clean condition of the market.
"Please keep this market clean, so that it is not inferior to the modern market. Make buyers always feel comfortable and try to prevent pickpocketing in this market," he emphasized.
The president noted that the presence of a good market could spur the regional economy, as the people`s market is an important part of the economy in the region.
