Pontianak (Antaranews Kalbar) – At least 400 tourism and enviromental activist with university students doing cleaning action by picking up litter in Bukit Jamur Tourism Area, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan.
   
"The cleaning action of Bukit Jamur is as a form of perserving the nature especially for the life of fauna, flora, and visitor convenience," said the Head of committee of that action, Muhammad Zen Didin who is also the board of Jejaring Wisata (Jewita) West Kalimantan when contacted in Bengkayang on Monday.
   
He explained from 400 participants of the action that conducted from April 14-15 2018 consists of 39 communities or organizations that exist in West Kalimantan.
   
"In this action be sides cleaning the litter we also brushed the entire writing on the rocks which is the result of vandalisme from irresponsible people," he said.
   
According to him, the amount of plastic trash in Bukit Jamur can have negative impact on the ecosystem. It is also the background behind dozens of activists took part to clean up.
   
"The point is the litter besides polluting is also very uncomfortable for visitors who come in. We are from a combination of various communities feel called to create a little good things here," said the man who is also active in the West Borneo Backpacer Trip Community.
   
This action are also supported by the government of Bengkayang and Bengkayang Polsek ( Police Sector). For the example, Bengkayang polsek also send a team to join the activists. While local residents also appreciate this activity.
   
Maintaining the conservation of nature and cleanliness is certainly become shared responsibility. One form of responsibility for the preservation of this nature is by doing this activity. Although some of them are not residents from here, but have a concern, said Bengkayang sub district head, Ucok Hasigian.
