Pontianak, W Kalimantan, July 8 (Antaranews Kalbar) - Pontianak District Manager of Lion Air Group Lukman Nurjaman said the seat occupancy of his airlines currently almost reached 100 percent.

"The high seat occupancy rate is partly due to the current school holiday season. But the holiday season almost ends now," Nurjaman said here on Sunday.

He said that the high occupancy rate takes place in almost all routes, including the route from Pontianak and vice versa.

"The occupancy rates for the routes from and to Jakarta, Batam, Bandung, Semarang and other cities are all almost 100 percent," note Nurjaman.

Regarding the higher ticket price compared to that in a normal day, Nurjaman said it is not inseparable from the high demand.

"But the price is still within the limits that have been determined or according to the rules in force," he said.

High aircraft occupancy is also claimed by Sales Manager of Garuda Indonesia for Pontianak, Tomy Chrisbiantoko.

"Currently, the plane occupancy rate is high, of course it is due to school holiday season. The other factor that also contributes to high occupancy rate, especially in West Kalimantan, is the church jamboree held in Pontianak," he said.
