Bandung, West Java (Antaranews Kalbar) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana will attend the 2017 National Joint Christmas Celebration in West Kalimantan on Thursday evening.
"The Christmas celebrations will be held in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan Province, later in the afternoon," Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin stated in Bandung on Thursday.
Boarding the presidential aircraft Indonesia-1, President Jokowi and his entourage departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta at 8:15 a.m. West Indonesian Standard Time, with a stopover in Bandung, West Java, before continuing the trip to West Kalimantan.
In Bandung, the president will attend the 51st anniversary celebrations of the Siliwangi Youth Force at the Gedung Merdeka.
After attending the event in Bandung, the president and first lady will then continue their journey to West Kalimantan Province.
Upon arrival in West Kalimantan, the president is scheduled to inaugurate the new terminal of Supadio Airport.
The president will also hand over land certificates to the people at the yard of the Mujahidin Mosque in Pontianak before attending the 2017 National Joint Christmas Celebration.
