Task Force of 642 / Kapuas Infantry Battalion (Yonif) thwarted the smuggling of 4.2 kilograms of narcotics in the type of shabu from Malaysia.
"The smuggling twarted of shabu-shabu on Saturday (7/4), at 19.30 WIB, when checking in Malindo post located in Pemodis Village, Beduai District, Sanggau District," said Kapendam XII / Tanjungpura, Colonel (Inf) Tri Rana Subekti, in Kubu Raya, Sunday evening.
The disclosure of the shabu-shabu smuggling began when a member of Yonif 642 / Kapuas at the Balai Karangan Post Headquarters led by Letda Ckm Danang conducted a routine check, about 200 meters from Pos Malindo, Pemodis Village , Beduai District, which successfully suspected a two-wheeled rider, because trying to avoid the examination.
"Initial of the driver is Da (39) residents of Dusun Danau, Kuala Village,sub- district of Selakau, Sambas Regency, conducted a search and they find out carrying narcotics type shabu-shabu as much as 4.2 kilograms input in two packets Milo, so Da as thesuspect directly arrested, "he said.
According to him, the success can not be regardless from the observation of Dansatgas Pamtas Yonif 642 / Kapuas Lt. Col. (Inf) Faizal Amri, where knowing the existence of the smuggling of illicit goods, directly inform the members who guard at Balai Karangan.
"Currently to account for his actions, the suspects and evidence of methamphetamine weighing 4.2 kilograms already been submitted to BNNP West Kalimantan," he said.
He added that so far members of Satgas Pamtas Yonif 642 / Kapuas who served in Balai Karangan is not a first time thwarting the shabu-sabu circulation coming from Malaysia.
"In this last two years, it has been recorded that 14.6 kilograms of shabu-shabu from Malaysia was successfully secured by Satgas Pamtas Yonif 642 / Kapuas. From this data including until August 2017 also has managed to secure as much as 10.4 kilograms of shabu-shabu, he said.
