Pontianak, W Kalimantan, Feb 6 (Antaranews Kalbar) - A flood has, since the past week, submerged tens of homes and roads in Ledo Sub-district, Bengkayang District, West Kalimantan Province.

The flooding was triggered by incessant heavy rains, Indra, a local resident of Ledo, noted here, Wednesday.

The flood-affected victims have to ride canoes to travel to offices or markets.

On January 31, 2019, a landslide triggered by downpour had hit Sungkung II Village in Siding Sub-district, claiming three lives and injuring another. Over 10 homes were damaged by the landslide.

Another landslide had hit Sungkung II on February 5, 2019.

The local authorities have distributed relief aid and helped clear mud from the affected homes and roads.
